January 1915

Friday Jan 1:25 1915.

Fannie and I got up about 11 oclock, dressed went up stairs called the boys, came down and helped mother get breakfast, we had breakfast a 12 - just messed around all day, Preston went over to Wanda's, Fannie and Eulalah went up town, Elmer hasn't been home since Thursday Clarence went up town to, Jack went home about 10:00 we were so tired must go to bed now. 10:30, Jack and I started a saving acc haha

Saturday January 2 - 15

Well this is a nother new year, it sure has been a short one to, it don't seam as tho much has happened, and things as happened that couldn't happen again in a hundred years, it seams funny that any body realy would care much for me, well I had better stop or I will be raving in a few min, the phone is ringing, Well that was Fannie, her papa and mother are going away this eve, so they are going to have a bunch over, Preston and Wanda, Alice and Warren, Jack and I, Clarence if he can come, O yes Fannie to I called Jack, he will go, Preston called wanda to, so every thing is set,

Sunday Jan 3 - 15 -

well such a time as we had last eve, Clarence had a date so he couldn't come, we had a very good time, the bunch went home about 12:30 Jack went 1:00 he and Fannie had a O I don't know what you would call it, guess they are rather angry tho. more power to them, the crazy kid, Fannie, Margie and I went to church, just got home, Preston was just talking to Wanda, guess he is going over there this eve, The Millers have gone over to there sisters for dinner, seams nice to be alone, will write some more after while, Preston and Warren had to walk home last eve from Wanda's home. I always thought I was crazy, but I guess I know just as much as some others know

Mon Jan. 4th 1915

got up this a m 8:45 sure am sleepyhead I felt so funny I didn't want to write any last eve Jack went home about 12:10 I wasn't sleepy so I sit up a while, went to bed about 1:15. we washed today, Miss Hupp called for me this eve, we went to S.S. class meeting Fannie came to, there was 12 of us. had a real nice time, must go to bed now. 11:45. I wonder if Jack is asleep -

Tuesday Jan 5th 15

went to Keiths with Arthur this eve. met Henry and his girl, the show was pretty good. Art gave me a small silver present, and I lost it, am always doing something like that, I wounder if Jack was at the dance this, Blackie came home this eve -

went to the show with Warren this eve was good we got some cream as we came home, woke Mother up and gave her some, gee but Warren is a jolly kind of boy, but so very crazy -

Fannie was over a few min this eve, I pressed her skirt for her, she went to the dance with Wanda and Preston, Jack came over, we went to the dance to, am getting tired of dancing so much, every thing is just the same thing over and over I think it would be nice to die, I wouldn't be afraid, gee this is nice talk for me after having danced my head off this eve, must go to bed now don't know if Jack got the one oclock car or not - well I will say he did, he just called, he sure is a brick, I think he has been gone about 20 min well I am glad he called, I was woundering if he was home yet,

went to church today, went to River Side to see the kids skate, went with Fanny and Miss Hayes. Jack was over this eve, Clarence helped mother was the supper dishes cause I had such a head ache. Preston went out to Wanda about 4 oclock, he must have fell in cause he stayed so long he always comes home about 11 -

Ironed today, Fannie came over or rather she stoped in a few min, she went up town this eve, didn't like the fellow she met so she came home, Warren and Preston went to the show

didn't go to church today, Bert went so did Fannie + Margie, it hurt me so to walk, Fannie and Shallah were here this P.M. they went skating, Jack came over this eve, I didn't feel very good and for a wounder I had my mouth shut, Earl Fannie Jack and I went to the show, we got some cream as we came home, ate such a mess guess we will both be sick tomorrow, Jack scolded me this eve, first time I ever seen him realy angry, my but he sure can look cross must go to bed now.

Ironed today, got up at 9, tried to sweep up the snow White called to day, so did May, her and Isabelle are coming over this, so is Fannie, O gee Clarence just went up town, wish he would go and forget to come back, he is the biggest bunch of soup I don't like to have him around, He makes cold chills go down my back, he sure is one tough man, I suppose the girl will be over pretty soon, so must wash the dishes, will write some well they have come and gone, Earl went home with Fannie, every body else is in, Mother is sleeping with Bert tonight, and I have to sleep all by my self, the first since Sept 14th, Jack called this eve, he isnt very well, just a cold I guess, but a bad one, must go to bed now befor Clarence comes down to get something to eat, 11:15.

such a terrible day, it rains a while then blows then freezes, The walks are awful - did some sewing today, have the blues to, just a shade, 9:10

went to the Eastern Star dance this eve. had a very good time, Preston and Wanda Elmer and Hazel, Doras and Pete, Jack and I such a bunch and such a mess - Geo and Vern called this afternoon, Etta and Lewie were here a min to, 1:05

Wed - Feb - 3 - 15

didn't get up until 8:30, feel just fine, have been so busy to day, made so pretty towels yesterday, Jack called this eve, he is coming over tomorrow eve, mother wants me to come to bed now so good night 8:35

Thursday eve Feb - 4th 15

well Clyde has come and gone, Fannie is staying all night with me, Lewie went to the doctors this eve, then he and Black went to the show, Warren was over a few min to He and Earl went to the show to, gee but Jack did tease me this eve, he said I made him sleepy, he said I was a lot of bother to, he sure can tease awful, O gee it is time for me to go to bed now,

did some sewing for Fannie today, ironed some to, Nellie Dunbarr and Nettie S were here for a while this eve Fannie is staying with me to, she washed her head this eve, Geo called today, guess I will go to bed now, Fannie is sitting behind the stove and Earl is talking a leg right off the poor kid. 10:45

Fannie stoped in a few min on her way from SS today, Jack came over for dinner today Preston went for Wanda so we had a little party, quite small. Preston went to Warren's this afternoon, guess he was there for lunch, he wasn't home any way, Etta came over about 3:30 she was here for supper, her and Jack have quite a time with there children, Jack and I went to the show, he went home a few min ago that was about 11:30 every body is home but Elmer, he must have fell in,

Thursday February 11th 1915.

went with mother for some dishes, saw Jack, didn't think he was coming over so Clarence washed my head this afternoon, I went to sleep about 3:45 didn't get up until 6:30 my hair wasn't quite dry, so put on my cap and washed the dishes, Fannie and Nora were over a few min, just as they were leaving who came up but Jack. I sure was surprised, but please just the same, even if I was dirty guess we are gong to the dance Sat eve 11:30

Friday eve Feb 12th 1915

didn't get up until 8:30 this A M. Fannie and I was to the Empire this afternoon wasn't very good tho, had a lot of fun with a nice looking brown eyed fellow, was very much surprised to see him on Summit St after the show. Thought I would never get rid of him but I did, I am always getting in dutch, am sleepy now so guess I will go to bed now got a new waist today, was down to see some of the girls, Fannie was just here, am going to bed now 8:30

Sat eve February 13 - 1915

didn't go to church today, rained almost alday, Fannie came over this afternoon we took a nice windy walk down to the Cherry St bridge, my but the ice cream is awful. Geo came over this eve for Fannie, they went over to Rays, Jack and I went up town am so awful tired am going to bed 12:45

Lucie and I went over to Fannies for a few min this ev, Earl came home this eve brought me a very pretty pennant green and white, Fannie gave me some more serving to do for her, am just a little bit tired. Ironed today, so good night 9:30

Jack and I went to see a Fool. There was I thought it was good but Jack said it was to dam rotten,

Auntie May and I went up town this afternoon, went to the Empire, I thought it was just fine, Clarence Auntie May and I went to the show this eve, it was so rotten it was funny that Clarence is sure is a nut, am going to bed now

Fannie didn't go to the dance this eve. the rest of the bunch come up tho, Jack and Mother had a nice little fuss, gee but they are a joke, Mother is a mess when somebody starts bible talk, we had some oyster soup when we got home, Jack told me some thing this eve that surprised me very much, poor Jack he is always in to something the poor unlucky devil, he is out of one thing into another, am going to bed now

Sunday eve Feb 21st 15

didn't go to church today, Fannie didn't either, Jack come over this afternoon went to the Temple The Man Of The Hour was very good, Jack came out for lunch Auntie Mary went to the show this eve with us, we walked up town and home, again, Jack got some candy on the way, so ate candy and froze my fingers all the way home, was awful tired after we got home from the show

Monday Feb 22 - 15

such a long lonesome day and eve. grandpa came up today. Bert and Auntie May went to the show, Mother and grandpa have gone to bed the boys have gone to the show to Clarence didn't so he is writing now. Preston and Warren, Wanda and Alice went out to Warren's cottage, the kid wanted me to go, but I didn't want to go if Jack had to work, so stayed at home, O dear here comes the kids, well most of them have gone to bed, so guess I will go to. 10:45

Tuesday Feb 23 - 15

rained most all day, Jack came over this eve, we went to the show, got out pictures to only five were good, Auntie May and Clarence fooling around here and Auntie got hurt, she don't feel very good now, Blackie got a little pup, he don't know how to eat yet, I fixed him a nice little bottle but the nut wont even eat milk, guess I will go to bed now, I talked to Fannie this eve, Preston didn't go out B Way as he was out Friday Sat Sun and Monday, his finger is getting along real nice 11:45

such a nasty day, and of course we washed Blackie's little dog, cryed all night, if I have to get up to night with that dog I am afraid he will just about die befo Morn. Saturday eve - February 27th - 1915

This sure has been one pretty day, but O so very cold, Jack and I went to the dance, Elmer and Hazel Lewie and Wanda went to I don't know when Fannie, had a very good time, if Jack Williams don't stop teasing me, I am going to pull his hair all out 12:45

Sunday February 28th 1915

Well this is the last day of another month, how fast the time does fly, something else came very near flying this A.M. when the house caught fire. I think it would be just a little bit cold to take up my bed and walk. Fannie and I went up town this afternoon My but this has been one pretty day, we seen Jack and Geo and Frank. Jack was over this eve, we went up to the show. I laughed this eve until I was sick, Fannie was here for supper and her and Earl were as funnie as could be, every body came home home so early, guess Elmer and Hazel are sore heads any way. 12:00 good night. Tuesday March 2 - 1915

One more pretty day, gee but it sure is windy, Auntie May went home this afternoon, just 2 wk. but it seams so short, I enjoyed the visit very much, I seen Mary Hayes today, she said she was coming out to stay all night Mon eve net. Jack was out this eve, we went up to the show, was pretty good, I suppose I would enjoy my self on a rock if I was with him, 12:45

Wed - March - 3 - 15

Clarence went away this amm. Earl went yesterday guess we will have some peace now, seams very quiet now, my but the sun shines so warm and pretty Elmer and Hazel have made up again, true love never runs smoth, Preston was out to see Wanda last eve, Warren was over a few min to, so was Fannie, she was going over to the Y W C A will write some more later just 7:20 and every body is out. mother and Bert and grandpa have gone to bed, I had to wash Preston's face and hands this eve, his finger is so sore. I washed his head to my it sure is quiet, seams nice tho, am going to bed now, we are going to wash in the A.M. Black is here again guess he just went to the corner, a man was just here to see Elmer. Thursday eve, March 5th 1915 -

O such a washing as we did do today, gee but it is cold Lewie went to see Wanda, Warren got string, Lewie said he was going to loose out, Jack came over this eve, we went up to the show, was real good, all Elmer and Jack do is to tease, they have Clurtis on the brain now, Jack is into more trouble, he sure is a brick when it comes to trouble, (I don't care I think that mach is crazy), am going to bed now, 12:45 sweet dreams -

Friday March 5th 1915,

well such a day, snow, rain, sleet, and every thing it is raining now, Blackie and Fannie went up to the show, she was over a few min, those kids sure are awful when they get together, Geo called this afternoon but I was in bed so mother said I wasn't here, Lewie has a harp here behind the stove, and such a noise, you cant tell if he is playing, a religious peace or Turkey in the Straw, was talking to Jack a few min this eve Hazel called Elmer, Lewie called Wanda and I guess that is all so will go to bed now 9 oclock

Well this is one more pretty day. Elmer is working on the roof today. Bert hasn't gone to work yet. Prestons finger is must better Blackie went to Pemberville Sat and took the little dog, guess Elmer and Hazel had a quarrel Sunday eve. he seams rather blue today. said he was going to get a divorce Sat next I thnk he will be all over it by that time, will write some more after while, well supper is over, I had to wash the dishes, Hazel was down to see Elmer, gee he seams to be happy now, Etta was over a while this eve so was Warren, poor Etta, guess she is lost, her friend Fred for good, my she seams to think lots of him, she wants me to go to Keiths with her one night next wk. this is a nice day so bright and warm. Wednesday March 10th 1915

didn't do much today, cleaned up stairs, embroidered some, and messed around all day, got a letter from Auntie May today, Mother has the had ach awful. Clarence went up town this P.M. My but it would be great if it would stay nice like this all the time. I started to church today, but it was so nice I walked out to the end of the East B car line. Blackie and Earl went to, met Fannie as we came home, seen Etta a few min to, she is going to Mich today or tomorrow, Hazel and Elmer, Jack and I went out to the Art M - this afternoon, walked all of the way home it was so nice, no we just waked up town, say Loyd Clark and wife. Mr Le Vally came home happy last eve, so this a.m. he packed his little trunk and got out. hope he stays, I finished up Fannies sewing today, Elmer went to work at noon today, guess we have to move. wonder where we will go, don't feel very good today first hot then cold, I wounder how much of a splash I would make if I jumped in the river? guess I will try

went to the dance this eve. Preston and Wanda didn't go. Blackie and Fannie went up. had a very good time I got a yellow bow to wear tonight but Jack laughed at me, am tired so am going to bed now, 12:11

O my this is the first day I have worked in so long, nothing like it, am so tired so I think I will go to bed, Mr Cane was in the store today he wanted to take me to dinner, gee but he is good

was very busy today, sean Eulalah and Mrs Houtz and Margie, got some night gowns and a set of spoons today, Eiben called this eve am so tired and sleepy, Jack said he would call this eve, guess he forgot all about me, Preston is going to get a diamond for Wanda tomorrow, my but it sure does seam funny to think of Lewie getting married, it don't seam quite real, I wounder what mother and I will do, guess I will go to bed now,

Jack came, over this after noon, we went for a walk, he was here for supper, Lewie and Mother went to the stor this afternoon Blackie went to Pemberville last eve. Fannie and Miss Ott was over this eve a few min, told me all about there good time last eve, Geo was over this A.M. told me Jack took some body to the dance last eve, I think he would have his hands full if he would tend his own biz, guess I know Jack just about as well as he does, am going to bed now

had to help mother iron this eve, so I called up jack and ask him not to come over I got his birthday cushion today, I hope he likes it I think it is real pretty gee but it seams funny when Jack don't come over on Thursday. got a letter from Keneith today Fannie called this eve, I didn't walk home this eve it looked so rainy, have walked home 2 or 3 times this wk. that is enough, Mrs Foulger quite work today, will seam funny with out her, guess I will take a bathe and go to bed mother is so tired and sleepy, grandpa don't feel good

O such a terrible day so windy and rainy, Fannie stoped in a few min on her way to church this A.M. we had a awful time trying to get dinner every thing packed away Elmer went away yesterday, Fannie and I went over to pay the rent, we called Jack up and had him meet us up town so we stayed up town for supper, we went to the show got come cream and candy and went home, Aeleta and Blackie went to the show, of course we all had to have a fight, O yes and for a change we had one hour of silence some more silence, it sure was a change alright and tired so guess I will go to bed -

I feel some better this eve, was supposed to go out to Foulgers this eve but am so tired it cant be done Jack came down this eve after work was here for supper, Lewie went over to see Wanda for a change guess she was alone, Mrs Sutton came down to see mother this eve to, poor grandpa he don't feel good not a bit, am tired and sleepy to so guess I will go to bed now,

Geo and Vern were in the store today saw lots of people I knew today, grandpa feels worse this eve, Jack came over this eve to fix mother stove, I just bet he wishes we were in the bottom of the river, he has helped so much Lewie went over to see Wanda again today he had got it bad. Went canoeing today with the bunch from the store had a grand time, was so windy we couldn't go far and 4 in one canoe is quite a bunch anaway, got home a bout 7 - Jack didn't come over this eve, he called about 7 just befor I got home, guess he thought I was drowned so he woudnt come over he wasn't angry I know, I wouldn't care if he went out with a bunch from the shop.
