Dear Sisters and all I will answer your most welcome letter Hope this finds you all well I am fine and dandy. And having a fine time gee but me do have some time believ me. I got a letter from Alice the other day There is going to be a show in El Paso to morrow I guess maybe I will go down at night. I am not drilling now day I am helping put up a mess hall to eat in Have got the foundation down. It is 20 by 60 ft. So you can see it is some building[.] Hope you heard from Mich. Oh yes you can send me a nice box it takes about 5 to 6 days for a box to come. We have a good show in the open every night. The band play every night to It is playing now. We are going to play ball to morrow Gee we have some games believe me. Gee we have some rain storm now. It does not rain it just pours. Mother you should write to me again and more often. So do not forget to will you. How is the little ford Gee there is a lot of them down here about every one you see is a ford. I am going to (?) play foot ball I guess. They want me to[.] Gee there are a lot of letter writen here doing the day and night. I would like to be there to go to the fair with you. Well I will have to close for this time. Now write more often. Your Bro and Son.
Dear sister and all
I will answer your welcome letter that I just received Hope this finded you all well I am pretty good. But have got the back door runs and believe me I run some to Have went about ten time in the last three hours. Have you heard from mother yet I got a letter from her the other day. and also got a letter from the war board I gave or send the paper they sent me to mother
She will know what to do with it. And I think she will get some money. I have not heard from Alice for a long time have you seen her lately. I suppose Cora is to busy to write
Most of the boys have gone up town. It is four miles to waco from camp But there are about 400 auto to take you back and forth. It has not rain very much down here Just a few drops the other night. There are know Mountains near here This is a nice place the Elpaso is. It is all black clay and white lime stone. There is quite a lot of cotton raise around here.

Dear Mother and all
I will Answer your most wellcome letter that I received to day and was glad to get the same I was wondering why you did not write before. I am fine and having a good time We go down town most every night Got so I know El Paso like a book. We have play two game of foot ball I am playing half back now Gee but it is fun We have not lost a game yet We beat the first game 0 to 7 and the last game 63 to 0 I made five touch down in the last game We are going to play again to morrow or the next day We have got a lot of the team that got hurt But we have a lot to pick from. I do not know when we will be home. But expect it any time now. But may be down here all winter Can not tell nothing about it. Gee but we have bad to cold night and they say it is the coldest it has been for seven years. I suppose my big brother in laws are busy with there corn now day. Well how do you like Michigan since it has gone dry. And how do you like Wilson I cant say much be cause I think the both of them are know good
I think Wilson had better get busy on this Mexican border or he will have his foot in something. If he does not want war why don't he send us home. or let let us cross the border. Well Mother I will pick you out a nice little ford when I get back. How bout it.
I got a letter from Alice to night also. How is Aunt Ruth now I hope she is better I got your stamps all OK. What did you think of my picture ha ha. George took one of me in my foot ball clothes. Well i will have to close for this time I will send a picture of the boys in my tent there are eight to a tent Can you see me this was taken on the hike in one of our camping places.
