Introduction
The Thelma G. Marsh Collection was transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State
University, Bowling Green, Ohio with the cooperation of Jean Moon, retired director of the Upper Sandusky community Library,
Upper Sandusky, Ohio, in August 1997.
The Center for Archival Collections is the publisher of this microfilm edition. The 16mm camera negative is the property of
the Center for Archival Collections. The register was prepared by Susan Hughes in September 1997. No restrictions apply to
the use of this collection.
Scope and Content
The Thelma Marsh collection consists of over seven hundred index cards containing such information as birth, marriage and
death dates of members of the Wyandot tribe from the Upper Sandusky area. Some vital statistics date as early as 1795.
The information found on these cards represents research done by Thelma G. Marsh. Sources include the following: Forty Years Among the Indians, Reverend Hubbard; History of the Wyandott Mission, J.B.Finley; Indian Pioneer History, U.S. Works Progress Administration; Traditional History of the Wyandot, Peter D. Clarke; and microfilm of the Wyandot tribal records made at Kansas City. Please see the Source Code on the microfilm
