Agency History
As defined by the National Grange, subordinate Granges within a given district are grouped together on a county or regional
basis into Pomona Granges. These units offer the Fifth Degree of the order, and provide the leadership for educational, legislative,
and business interests of the Subordinate Granges in its jurisdiction. The Pomona Grange #30 was formed in Wood County, Ohio
around 1888, the membership being composed of the Masters and Past Masters of subordinate granges in the area, functioning
as an intermediate jurisdictional organization for such local Wood County granges as Union #1475, Lake #2205, Enterprise #472,
Live Oak, Pioneer #136, Oak Grove, Middleton #2350, Wingston #2627, Ft. Meigs #2125, Jackson #2269, Montgomery, Liberty #2365,
Bloom #2323, Sugar Ridge, Salem #2259.
Scope and Content
The records of Pomona Grange #30, Wood County, Ohio document the establishment of the grange with its bylaws and early member
