Introduction | Order of Microfilming
Introduction
The First Families of Ottawa County, Ohio Collection was transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections,
Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, with the cooperation of the Ottawa County Genealogical Society.
Any person who is a member in good standing of the Ottawa County Genealogical Society may be included in the roster of First
Families of Ottawa County by proving that he or she is descended from one or more individuals who settled within the present
boundaries of Ottawa County prior to or as of the dates established by these three categories:
- Pioneer, 1840 and before
- Settler, 1841-1860
- Century, 1861-1884
The applicant must complete an application form showing his or her ancestor(s) and fill in the blanks of the chart on the
reverse side of the application form which are pertinent to his or her descent from said ancestors. This microfilm edition
preserves the information submitted and accepted for membership.
