Introduction

The records from St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, Henry County, Ohio, were transferred to the Center for Archival Collections for microfilming on October 8, 1991, with the cooperation of Vernon Damman. Additional material was microfilmed in 2004. No restrictions exist on the use of this collection and duplication is permitted for research purposes. The finding aid was prepared by Ann Bowers in October 1991 and revised in November 2005.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of four volumes of Record Books dating from 1869 to 2003 and one Minute Book, dating from 1869 to 1932. The Record Books contain such membership information as baptisms, confirmations, marriages, and burials. The Minute Book includes the constitution, membership listing and meeting minutes.
