Introduction
The records of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Toledo, Ohio, were transferred to the Center for Archival Collections for microfilming
on 29 May 1990, with the assistance of Ted Ligibel and the Rev. Edwin H. Voorhees, Jr. The collection includes three volumes
of Record Books which contain membership registers and records of births, baptisms, confirmations, marriages (only in first
volume), and burials dating from 1898 through 1988. Also included are two volumes of Marriage Records, dating from 1917 to
1988.
Administrative records and minutes of several women's organizations are included in this collection. The records of the Board
of Trustees of the St. Mark's Service League, dating from 1925 through 1939, 1949 through 1956, as well as the Board of Trustees
of St. Mark's Guild, dating from 1909 through 1916, are included in this collection. Minutes of the Augusta Lyons Group, 1946
to 1956, the Girl's Friendly Society, 1926 to 1928, and the Harriet Pearce Guild, 1945 to 1959, complete this collection.
No restrictions exist on the use of this microfilm edition and duplication is permitted for research purposes. The finding
aid was prepared by James Kaser, a doctoral student in American Culture Studies, in June 1990.
