 Introduction

The records of the First Presbyterian Church, Waterville, Ohio, were transferred to the Center for Archival Collections for microfilming on August 24, 1987, with the cooperation of Reverend Gavin A. Pitt, Jr. The collection consists of four volumes of church record books, dating from 1895 to 1987, and including membership rolls, and lists of baptisms, marriages, funerals, pastors, deacons and elders. Three of these records books also contain session minutes, dating from 1897 to 1942, and 1952 to 1958. An additional four volumes of session minutes are also included, dating from 1942 to 1952, and 1958 to 1987. Completing the collection are two volumes of annual congregational meeting minutes, 1910-1950, one volume of minutes of the Board of Trustees meetings, 1921-1950, and one volume of the Ladies Missionary Society meeting minutes, 1932-1937.

No restrictions exist on the research use of this collection. The finding aid was prepared by Ann Bowers, Assistant Director, in September 1987.
