Introduction

The records of the First Baptist Church, Canton, Ohio were transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, on November 1, 1986, with the cooperation of Reverend Kimsey. The collection consists of four record books, dating from 1849 to 1931, and containing membership lists, records of baptisms, minutes of congregational and association meetings and statistical reports.

No restrictions exist on the research use of this collection. The finding aid was prepared by Ann Bowers, Assistant Director, in November 1986.
