Introduction
The records of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Sandusky, Ohio, were transferred for microfilming to the
Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, on July 18, 1986, with the cooperation of Rev. William Pifer-Foote.
The collection consists of eight record books, dating from 1819 to 1986, which contain information on annual congregational
meetings, membership lists and baptisms, marriages and funerals conducted. Also included in this collection are four volumes
of Trustee's Minutes, dating from 1835 to 1921; a financial ledger, 1857-1866; a Church building financial ledger, 1855-1857;
Church policy manuals, 1871, 1881, 1885; and various printed programs on the history of the church. Fire destroyed some records
in February 1907.
The collection was prepared for microfilming and the finding aid completed by Ann Bowers, Assistant Director, in July 1986.
