 Introduction

The records of The Church of the Good Shepherd (United Brethren), North Baltimore, Ohio, were transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, on February 12, 1986, with the assistance of Norma Heminger. The collection consists of four volumes of church registers, dating from 1889 to the present, and including information on membership, baptisms, marriages, funerals, confirmations, list of pastors and church officials. Six volumes of Board minutes, titled Trustees, Offical Board and Council Administration, dating from July 1897 to August 1952, include information on membership, financial reports, church improvements and renovations and church policies. Of interest are two volumes of the private records of Reverend John W. Shock, dating from 1923-1929, 1941-1954, and including information on sermons given, marriages, funerals and baptisms performed and members brought into the Church. Ladies Aid Society minutes, 1915-1934, Women's Missionary Association minutes, 1928-1944, and several church histories complete the collection.

No restrictions exist on the research use of this collection. The collection was prepared for microfilming and the finding aid completed by Ann Bowers, Assistant Director, in March 1986.
