Introduction
The records of St. Paul Lutheran Church were transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections in October
1997 with the cooperation of Erika Flores, Albion, Michigan.
The St. Paul Lutheran Church records consist primarily of eight volumes of baptismal, communion/confirmation, marriage and
death records. The earliest volumes, beginning in 1857, are written in German. Included in the collection are the Trustees'
Minutes from 1899-1941 and the minutes of the Building Committee for the new church erected in 1888. Finally, ten financial
ledgers exist which list members and contributions; notably, the pledges for the building fund in 1887-1888.
This register was prepared by Susan Hughes in October 1997. No restrictions apply to the use of this collection.
