 Introduction

The records of St. John's Lutheran Church, New Washington, Ohio were transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, in November 1983, with the cooperation of Rev. Roger Miller and William Marquardt. The collection (1829-1970) consists of records of baptisms, confirmations, communions, marriages, and deaths. Also included is a minute book (1855-1919) which contains a list of church members and a souvenir program from the dedication of St. John's Lutheran Church in 1896. The majority of these records are in German, with a partial translation of two volumes included in the collection.

There are no restrictions on the research use of this collection. The finding aid was prepared by Susan Hagemeyer in December 1983.
