 Introduction

The records of the First United Methodist Church, Mansfield, Ohio were transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, in July 1983, with the cooperation of Mrs. Raymond Dent. The collection (1868-1982) consists of fifteen record books.

The records of the First United Methodist Church consist of: births and baptisms (1868-1982), marriages (1873-1982), membership (1868-1967), communicants (1868-1972) and record of probationers (1868-1966). Also included in the collection are rolls of pastors and church officers, church histories, and some minutes.

There are no restrictions on the research use of this collection. The finding aid was prepared by Karen Snow in July 1983.
