Introduction
The records of the Zion United Church of Christ, Bellevue, Ohio, were transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival
Collections, Bowling Green State University, in June 1983 with the cooperation of Rev. Rick L. Mearkle and the Genealogical
Society of Utah. The collection (1861-1983) consists of two record books. There are no restrictions on the research use of
this collection. This finding aid was prepared by Karen Snow in June 1983.
Scope and Content
The records of the Zion United Church of Christ, formerly the German Reformed Zion Church consist of: minutes of the congregation
(1864-1883), register of pastors (1956-1982), register of elders (1951-1973), register of communicants (1861-1925, 1952-1982),
register of baptisms (1861-1925, 1951-1983), register of membership (1863-1923, 1952-1982), register of marriages (1863-1923,
1952-1982), register of deaths (1862-1926, 1952-1983), and register of losses (1952-1982). Also included in the collection
are officers and statistics for various church organizations including the Women's Guild, Youth Fellowship, Gleaners and Brotherhood,
which date from 1957 to 1982.
