 Introduction

The Emanuel United Methodist Church collection was transferred to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, with the cooperation of Bonnie Valtner of the United Methodist Center, Toledo District, in September 1997.

This collection consists of six (6) volumes of records containing baptisms, marriages, and deaths as early as 1849. The last entry is in 1970 which was the approximate date of the closing of the church. Several of the early volumes are written in German.

This register was prepared in December 1997 by Susan Hughes. No restrictions apply to the use of this collection.
