 Introduction

The records of the First United Presbyterian Church, Pemberville, Ohio, were transferred to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, for microfilming in November 1982 with the cooperation of Laura King and the Genealogical Society of Utah. The collection (1878-1982) consists of record books, minutes, financial reports, and printed materials. There are no restrictions on the research use of this collection.

The First United Presbyterian Church collection includes a Record Book (1878-1965) and Session Minutes/Church Register (1942-1982) which contain lists of pastors, elders, communicants, baptisms, marriages, deaths, and session minutes. Other records in the collection consist of minutes, including: Session Minutes in four volumes (1878-1939, 1905-1942, 1962-1973, 1973-1982); Congregational Minutes in two volumes (1901-1921, 195701971); Deacon's Minutes (1962, 1967); Sunday School Minutes in six volumes (1883-1900, 1919-1922, 1931-1935, 1939-1943); Women's Service Guild Minutes (1950-1958); Presbyterian-Methodist Brotherhood Minutes (1947-1951); Young People's Society of Christian Endeavor Minutes (1890-1896); and Christian Endeavor Society Minutes (1899-1905). Also included are the financial reports of the United Presbyterian Women's Association in two volumes 91953-1973) and a World War II Roll of Honor.
