Introduction | Order of Microfilming

 Introduction

The St. Joseph's Catholic Church Collection (MS-196), Salem Township, Wyandot County, Ohio, was transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections with the cooperation of Maryann Frieditz, Carey, Ohio, in June 1997.

The St. Joseph's Catholic Church Collection consists of three (3) record books and one baptismal register. Inclusive dates for the collection are [1847]-1997. Some early records contained in the second record book were transferred from the Parish Register from New Riegel, Ohio. Researchers should also note that St. Joseph's has, in the past, also been known as Crawfordsville. Finally, some early records contained herein are recorded in Latin.

This register was prepared by Jason Wesco in July 1997.

*There is a seventy (70) year access restriction on baptism and marriage records. No restrictions apply to the remainder of this collection.
