The Goldstein-Goodman Post #6909, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Toledo, Ohio, was established on May 2, 1946 as a service organization made up of Jewish veterans. The Post was named for Morris Goldstein, killed during the Battle of Leyte Gulf on November 12, 1944, and Barnett H. Goodman who was killed on a bombing mission over Germany on July 29, 1943. With a stated dedication to community service, the Post initiated regular projects in aid of St. Anthony's Villa, Miami Children's Home, and the Sunshine Children's Home, support for the aged, the handicapped, and retarded children, and grave decoration for veterans on Memorial Day. Most activities were during the decades of the 1960s and 1970s, with participation dwindling as Post membership declined.

The most complete record series is a run of minutes from the establishment of the Post on May 2, 1946 through the 1970s. These minutes document discussion of post operations, social activities, community activities, and financial matters.
