 Introduction

The records of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, Van Wert, Ohio were transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University on May 1, 1990, with the cooperation of Mrs. Helen Prill of the Van Wert Historical Society. The collection consists of four record books containing a narrative history of the church, membership lists, and entries recording baptisms, confirmations, membership transfers, deaths, and marriages.

No restrictions exist on the use of this microfilm edition and duplication is permitted for research purposes. The finding aid was prepared by James Kaser, a doctoral student in American Culture, in May 1990. Other records relating to this church may be found in MS 75 and MS 118.
