 Introduction

The Faith United Methodist Church Collection was transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections with the cooperation of Maxine Hudson in August 1996.

The collection is made up of eight Record Books which generally contain baptism, membership, marriage, and death information. Also included is a minute book, church history, church directory and two worship service programs. The first four volumes are from Cynet Methodist Episcopal Church before its merger with Jerry City Methodist Episcopal Church in 1982. The following two volumes are from the Jerry City Church. The next two volumes are from the combined Cygnet and Jerry City Charge and contain records of both churches. The remaining volume and additional four items pertain to the Faith United Methodist Church and were created after the merger.

Inclusive dates are 1896 through 1996.

This register was prepared by Jason Wesco in September 1996. No restrictions exist on the use of this collection.
