Introduction
The records of the First United Methodist Church of New Lexington in Perry County, Ohio (1859-1967) were transferred for microfilming
to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, with the cooperation of Bonna
J. Sims in November of 1994.
The collection consists of eight record books which contain information regarding the church's membership. Entries recorded
in the books span the period from 1859-1937. However, vital statistical information dates back as far as 1797.
