Introduction

The Convoy Research Club Collection, 1908-1994, was transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, with the cooperation of Carol C. Bebout in August of 1994. The collection consists of three records groups: Proceedings, Financial Documents, and Printed Material.

The Proceedings include 11 volumes of Minutes dating from 1919 through 1993 which detail the events of the Club's monthly meetings. The Club's year ran from October of one calendar year to May of the next year with no meetings held during the summer. The Proceedings also include a list of the Club's members from 1908 through 1987. Membership since 1987 can be found as dues rolls in the fourth volume of Treasurer's Reports.

The Financial Documents include four volumes of Treasurer's Reports dating form 1930 through 1994. The reports were usually prepared in May at the end of each Club year. The Treasurer's Reports volumes also include dues rolls, and ledger entries. Also included within the group of Financial Documents are two bank books which document the Club's cash savings from 1950 through 1994.

Printed Material includes a 1977 pamphlet entitled "Doing Research for Research Club." Also included are programs from 1908 through 1994 and three dinner party programs dating from 1943, 1945, and 1946. The programs detail the Club's research agenda for each year, the Club's officers, Program Committee, and the hostess for each month's program.
