Hospital Steward Andrew Poe
Andrew Poe enlisted as a 35 year old Private in Company A, 63rd Ohio Volunteer
Infantry on August 30, 1862, mustering into service the same day. He was promoted
to Hospital Steward September 14, 1862, and was commissioned Captain of Company C,
106th U.S. Colored Troops to date November 14, 1863. He was transferred to Company
C, 40th U.S. Colored Troops to date November 7, 1865 and was mustered out
April 25, 1866.
