Commissary Sergeant Josiah W. Slanker
Josiah W. Slanker enlisted as a 26 year old Private in Company A, 6th Ohio
Volunteer Infantry on June 18, 1861, mustering into service the same day. On
August 27, 1861, he was promoted to Commissary Sergeant. His record is unclear
after that.
