Roster - Company D, 4th OVI
John C. Rose
John C. Rose, [Delaware Township, Hancock County], enlisted April, 1861, in
Co. D, 4th O. V. I., for three months; re-enlisted when the regiment was re-organized,
for three years; died at his home while on furlough, Jan 27, 1863, of chronic diarrhea.

Roster - Company G, 4th OVI
Sergeant John W.F. Williams
John W.F. Williams enlisted as a 22 year old Corporal in Company G, 4th Ohio
Volunteer Infantry on June 4, 1861, mustering into service the same day. He
participated in the battles of Rich Mountain, Romney, Kernstown, Port Republic,
Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, and Gettysburg, where he received
his promotion to Sergeant to date July 1, 1863. Choosing not to reenlist as a
veteran, he participated in the opening engagements of Grant's Overland campaign
in May 1864 before mustering out of service June 21, 1864.

Private Joseph F. Morrison
Joseph F. Morrison enlisted as a 25 year old Private in Company G, 4th Ohio
Volunteer Infantry on June 3, 1861, mustering into service the same day. He took
part in the west Virginia campaign under McClellan as well as the battles of Romney,
Kernstown, and Port Republic. Morrison died of disease November 5, 1862 at Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania.

Thomas D. Morrison
Thomas D. Morrison of Williamstown, enlisted Oct. 16th, 1861, in Co. G, 4th
O.V.I.,-wounded at Morton's Ford, Va., February 6th, 1864. Again wounded and
taken prisoner at the battle of Ream's Station in front of Petersburg, Va.,
August 25th, 1864, but a few days before his third year of service expired,
died of starvation at Salisbury N.C., March 25th.

Roster - Company H, 4th OVI
Private Levi Bair
Levi Bair enlisted as a 37 year old Private in Company H, 4th Ohio Volunteer
Infantry on April 18, 1861, mustering into service the same day. He was mustered
out June 14, 1861 for three years' service; his further record is unclear.
