RefWorks - Importing from CABI
CABI Databases:
Leisure, Recreation & Tourism Abstracts, Nutrition Abstracts
- Enter the database of your choice.
- Perform search.
- Mark and add records of interest.
- View Marked List.
- In the lower frame use the bottom line starting with Process.
- In first pulldown, choose Citation + Abstract, Citation Only, or Full Record for export.
- In second pulldown, choose Text for best results.
- Click on the Save icon.
- Choose Save to Disk in the File Download popup box.
- Save the document in a place you’ll remember.
- Login to your RefWorks account.
- Click on Reference – Import.
- Import Filter/Data Source – choose CAB Direct.
- Database should read CABI Publishing Database Subsets.
- Import Reference into – optional. Choose a folder if you wish.
- Import data from the following text file should be chosen.
- Use Browse button to find the file you just saved.
- Click Import.
- You should see a message stating Import completed – x records imported.
