Need Books?
Search the BGSU Libraries Catalog or the OhioLINK Central Catalog (statewide holdings) to locate books and various other materials. As a BGSU student, you may request items from the OhioLINK
catalog and have them delivered to any OhioLINK member institution.
Catalog Search: Click on BGSU Libraries Catalog (on the left side of this screen), select a tab (Keyword, Author, Title, etc.), enter your search terms in the box, and
click Submit to search the catalog. If you are unable to locate the item you are searching for, you can begin an OhioLINK
search for the same item by clicking on the Search OhioLINK button at the top of the catalog search results screen.
OhioLINK Search: Click on OhioLink Catalog (on the left side of this screen), select a search type (Keywords, Author, etc.), enter your search terms in the box, and
click Search Now to search the catalog. When you find the item you could like to request, click on Request Item (located
to the right of the title). Follow the prompts to fill in your information and select where the requested materials should
be sent. If you choose to have the item sent to BGSU, you will be notified via email when your book is available to be picked
up at the Jerome Library Circulation Desk.
Finding Electronic Books: Click on All Research Databases (on the left side of this screen), click on E-Book Collections, select the E-Book collection that you would like to search, and then search within that collection for your topic. Recommended
collections include ebrary, Electronic Book Center, NetLibrary, and Safari Tech Books Online. You can also view a video tutorial which will show you how to locate and search for a book in Safari Tech Books Online.

Follow the links to the left to discover a wealth of full-text databases (more than 200 ) and research tools & guides, most of which can be
used from your home computer. Numerous online tutorials & guides exist, with topics ranging from learning a research database to researching a particular subject area.

New Article Delivery Pilot: The University Libraries is piloting a new service for Faculty and Distance Education students. If BGSU owns the journal
in print, you can request it via Interlibrary Loan and have it delivered electronically to your desktop.
- Find a full text article using one of our research databases or electronic journals.
- If the article is not available in full text, enter the citation via interlibrary loan using ILLIAD (visit the ILLiad FAQ page for more information about ILLiad). If BGSU owns the print copy, you will receive a copy of the article electronically.
Items not owned by BGSU will be requested via the regular interlibrary loan process which may take up to two weeks.
- Please note: Distance students should add text in the note field of each request in ILLIAD that they are a "distance education
student."
