Ray & Pat Browne Library for Popular Culture Studies
The Ray & Pat Browne Library for Popular Culture Studies houses a vast collection of film, TV and other pop culture-related materials. Through the BGSU Libraries Catalog, researchers can search for the BPCL’s collection of popular biographies, books on films and filmmaking, television and motion
picture scripts (enter “Television Scripts” or “Motion Picture Scripts”), and comic books (enter “Comic Book” + superhero
name).
Aside from those materials listed in the BGSU Libraries Catalog, many other items can be found in the Browne Popular Culture Library with the help of the BPCL staff. The items include, but are not limited to: items catalogued through in-house lists, such
as movie posters, lobby cards, and press kits; popular magazines; and the Anthony Slide collection, a vast trove of research
compiled by the eminent film scholar.
The BPCL also houses over 200 manuscript collections, numerous genre periodicals, fanzines, tapes of E! True Hollywood Story and other film and television-related items.
To find out more, contact the Browne Popular Culture Library at 419-372-2450, or visit the collection on the 4th floor of Jerome Library on the campus of Bowling Green State University. Consult the BPCL hours to find out when to visit.
