Finding New Books
To find newer books in the BGSU Libraries Catalog, simply begin with a Word search. Type the topic you're looking for in the
top box of the search forms. Then, move down the form until you see "Year: After and Before" with boxes beside each one. If
you would like to find books published after the year 2000, use the "After" box and type 2000 in it. You will retrieve results with items published from 2001 to the present.
Tips for Effective Searching
Materials about films usually are not retrieved in the library catalog or many of the Research Databases using the word "film".
Many of the subject headings used are: motion pictures, moving pictures, etc. Film or films may work occasionally. Consult the Searching for Film and Media Studies Resources page for more information.
The authors of this website are members of or affiliated with the BGSU Department of American Culture Studies and the BGSU
