Content Description:  Doctoral dissertations and masters theses in the areas of health, physical education, recreation, exercise and sport sciences, sport history, and sport-related issues in the humanities and social sciences. Most of the theses and dissertations are from universities in the United States and Canada, but in recent years the number from other countries has grown. The BGSU Libraries own the publications issued 1949 to the present.

Index/Bibliography:

1) Each dissertation and thesis is separate cataloged in the BGSU Libraries Catalog. However, the cataloging records for the publications arrive at the BGSU Libraries long after the dissertations and theses are received. Therefore, records for the publications from the most recent year are usually not available in the BGSU Libraries Catalog.

2) Records for the theses and dissertations are in the SportDiscus research database. (Also available off campus).

3) Health, Physical Education, and Recreation Microform Publications Bulletin. (Jerome Library Reference Index GV 201 .O73 supple.x). This bulletin lists all of the dissertations and theses in each shipment. The various issues of the Bulletin cover 1949 to the present.

4) Health, Physical Education, and Recreation Microform Publications Bulletin. (Jerome Library Main Microforms; fiche Z6121 .H424 1972a). A microfiche edition of the Bulletin that covers 1949-1987.
