Content Description:  Reproductions of minutes and accompanying documents from the meetings of the President's National Security Council from 1947 to 1958. The official minutes are 2-3 page summaries of the meetings which record the topics discussed and presidential decisions made at the meeting. Presidents Truman and Eisenhower received more detailed summaries of the meetings which include a lengthy report of the discussions that frequently include quotes from individuals who were at the meeting. There are also declassified supporting documents which include CIA briefings, progress reports, etc.
