Government Documents
As defined by Title 44 U.S.C. “Government publication is informational matter which is published as an individual document at government expense, or as required by law.” It includes any publication in book, serial, or non-book form published by or for a government agency, e.g., the publications of Federal, State, Local, and Foreign governments and of intergovernmental organizations to which governments belong and appoint representatives, such as the United Nations, Organization of American States, and the Great Lakes Commission. Bowling Green State University Library collects federal, Ohio, Bowling Green City, and Canadian documents. The collections are housed on the first floor of the library near the light court and Periodicals Collection.
The Government Documents Department web site provides more information about the collection and public services available. |
