Curriculum Guides/Courses of Study

These guides are developed for all K-12 subject areas and identify what should be taught in classrooms based on state curriculum standards. They are prepared by various elementary and secondary school systems or state departments of education for teachers in their respective areas. Curriculum guides in book format are available principally from Northwest Ohio and are housed in the Curriculum Resource Center (CRC) in a special area for curriculum guides. The easiest way to search for them in the BGSU Libraries Catalog is by conducting an author search using the name of the school system (i.e. Bowling Green City School District).

The Kraus Curriculum Development Library (KCDL), an extensive collection of curriculum guides from all over North America, is available on microfiche and located in the CRC. See the ERIC microfiche collection (located in the Microforms area on the first floor) for another important source of curriculum guides.
