Staff Biography: Linda Rich

Associate Professor and Coordinator of Reference Services

Linda Rich is the Coordinator of Reference Services in the department of Library Teaching & Learning.  She received both her Master of Library Science and her B.S. in Business Education from Indiana University.  She worked at the Indiana University Law Library prior to coming to BGSU in 1995.  In addition to her work as Reference Coordinator, she is also the instruction liaison to the department of Apparel Merchandising and Product Development.

Linda’s current research focus is examining how students discover and use library resources via the library’s website.   She recently co-presented “Supporting E-Resource Discovery: Usability Testing for Effective Web Design” at the 2010 Annual Conference for the Academic Library Association of Ohio.  Past publications include articles in Serials Review, Journal of Law and Social Work, and College & Research Libraries News.  Linda is the BGSU Libraries’ representative on the OhioLINK User Services Committee (USC) and a member of the USC Meta Search Subcommittee.
