The College is proud to honor two of its graduates for being among the 27 alumni who were named “Accomplished Alumni” this
spring.
The BGSU Alumni Association, in conjunction with the University and its colleges, lauded 27 accomplished graduates at the
April awards banquet. The accomplished graduates represent each of the colleges and are recognized for outstanding contributions
to their profession and involvement in the community.
Representing the College of Health and Human Services this year are Dr. Craig W. Newman ’75, ’77 of Avon Lake, Ohio, section
head for audiology at the Head and Neck Institute at the Cleveland Clinic and a professor in the Department of Surgery at
the clinic’s Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, and Bonnie R. Valiant ’61 of Lisle, Ill., a speech
and hearing therapist in public schools and a long-time volunteer with the spina bifida associations in Illinois and nationally.
