Workshop Description:
How many times have you heard providers peers say “I don’t like working with women, they have so many problems”. Participants will gain an understanding of women’s risk factors for co-occurring disorders and the barriers that women face in accessing treatment and engaging in the process of recovery. The importance of addressing sexuality, identity and psychosexual boundaries in the therapeutic process will be presented with discussion for practical application and implementation.
