The Master of Rehabilitation Counseling (M.R.C.) degree is designed to enable students to achieve a high degree of competence
in counseling theory and skills, rehabilitation practices, and the coordination of services. These skills can be applied in
a variety of programs which serve individuals with behavioral, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities, as well as substance
abuse problems. Classroom and practicum experiences are combined with supervised clinical experience in agencies. Students
choose internship sites from a variety of agencies, locally or nationally. A detailed description of the Master of Rehabilitation
Counseling program is found under the heading of Rehabilitation Counseling in the “Graduate Programs and Courses” section
of this catalog.
