I am pleased to welcome you to the College of Education and Human Development’s scholarship page. Thanks to the generous support of our many donors and benefactors, we are able to offer a number of scholarships in a variety of program areas to EDHD students each year.

Approximately 165 EDHD students were awarded College scholarships totaling more than $260,000 for the 2007-08 academic year (with award amounts ranging from $50 to $4000), and we anticipate similar numbers for the upcoming scholarship season. We are continually making efforts to increase both the number of scholarships and the amount awarded, as many of our students both need and merit this type of support.

Each year we recognize EDHD undergraduate and graduate scholarship recipients at our Honors and Awards Convocation. Our donors are also recognized at this event, as their contributions and continued commitment are critical to our students’ success. This year the convocation will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2008, and all students who receive a scholarship for the 2008-09 academic year will be required to attend.

I encourage you to take advantage of our on-line system and submit your application via this web page. You will be required to provide several pieces of pertinent information, so please read through the application carefully before you begin the process. The application must be filled out completely, so we recommend previewing it to ensure you have the required information on hand before you begin.
