The BGSU general operating budget allows very fundamental support for scholarly endeavors-- mainly release time, training opportunities, technology support and some specific types of research assistance. Needs for unique, highly technical or costly resources (equipment or personnel) are unlikely to be met by individual department or school budgets, and perhaps may not even be within the means of college or university budget allocations. A broad body of information and resources exist--across the university and externally--for accessing funds through these various means.
