Spacer EDHD REPORT: Title II Report Spacer
 

Source Material: The Title II Report is mandated by the United States Department of Education and is administered by the State of Ohio through the Ohio Department of Education. Since the information and data required are so diverse and widespread that multiple sources across the university are utilized in the collection of the required elements. Bowling Green State University departments that are utilized for information and/or data are as follows:

  • EDHD Student and Academic Services Office
  • EDHD Research and Field Experience Office
  • EDHD School Directors and Program Coordinators
  • Registration and Records Office
  • Graduate College
  • Career Center
  • Admissions Office
  • Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Music, Technology

Much of the data included in the report is extracted from the University student records system, which is provided to EDHD by the Institutional Research Office.

EDHD Report Content: The Title II Report is divided into 7 sections, each section dealing with a different information set. They are follows:

  • Title II Context Survey includes contact information for select university and college offices. Institutional enrollment data are part of this section.
  • Faculty Demographics Survey segments all professional education faculty into three categories, full-time, part-time, and adjunct. Within each category faculty numbers are cross-tabulated by race and gender.
  • Ohio Teacher Education Survey highlights information with regard to professional development school partnerships. Data regarding enrollment in and completion of teacher preparation programs is listed in this section. Also in this section is information regarding student teaching (enrollment, supervising faculty, and hours required).
  • Program Requirements Survey details entrance and exit requirements for teacher education programs both undergraduate and graduate by the following criteria:
  • High School G.P.A.
  • College G.P.A.
  • Preparation Examinations (ACT, SAT, GRE, Praxis I, etc.)
  • Other Requirements (interviews, recommendations, field experience, etc.)
  • Praxis II Requirements Survey specifies by program whether the Praxis II PLT and/or Content Exam are required. If so, at what point in each program are these assessments required.
  • Student Demographics provides data as to teacher education enrollment and completion. The total number of students enrolled in teacher preparation programs is cross-tabulated by race and gender. The total number of program completers from teacher preparation programs is cross-tabulated by race and gender.      
  • Program Statistics Interview identifies the teacher education programs offered by the institution with regard to Ohio Department of Education licensure areas. For each licensure area program offered by the institution the following statistics are reported.
    • Number of program applicants
    • New admits
    • Total enrolled
    • Number completing supervised student teaching
    • Program completers
    • Cohort completers recommended for licensure
    • Total recommended for licensure
