or in the education program in another college. Topics covered in the survey are:
- Overall experience
- Advising (both faculty and student services)
- Courses (offerings, instruction, field experience, etc.)
- Employment
Additional demographic data (age, gender, race, etc) regarding graduates are obtained from in the 15th day report prepared
each semester by the Institutional Research department of Bowling Green State University. The responses of the graduates who
complete and return the post graduation survey are matched with their demographic data and the results included in the analysis
for this annual report.
EDHD Report Content: The EDHD Graduation Survey Report includes:
- Graduate Demographics showing a breakdown of all EDHD graduates and other college graduates in education programs by the following variables: degree
level (BS, MS, EdD), graduation term/year, gender, race, age, residency, final cumulative G.P.A., degree category, and program.
Numbers and percentages of totals are shown for each program listing within each variable. Comparisons are made to data from
the previous year and a percentage difference (+/- change) is calculated. Separate demographic sheets are created in the above
listed format for total graduates, for all graduates with undergraduate degrees, for all graduates with graduate degrees,
and for those graduates who returned a completed survey.
- Executive Summary Sheet showing highlights of overall respondent satisfaction levels i.e. very satisfied, satisfied, dissatisfied, or very dissatisfied
and satisfaction levels by topic i.e. advising, courses, employment.
- Topic Sheets Separate topic sheets are created in the above listed format for experience, for advising, for courses and for employment.
The sheets show the percentage of respondents by satisfaction level. A mean score is calculated by which satisfaction level
comparisons can be made.
- Program Summary Sheet provides a ranking of topic responses (greatest satisfaction to greatest dissatisfaction) for each BGSU program in which
at least 3 graduates completed and returned surveys.
- Program Sheets showing the percentage of respondents’ satisfaction level for each topic (very satisfied, satisfied, dissatisfied, or very
dissatisfied) for each program in which at least 3 graduates completed and returned surveys. A mean score is calculated by
which satisfaction level comparisons can be made.
