 Praxis II All Examinees Report

Incoming Data / Retrieval and Archiving: After the close of the academic year (08/30) Educational Testing Service (ETS) compiles the Praxis II data for individual institutions including performance data for all candidates who self identify BGSU on their test submissions. ETS then creates the Institutional Summary Report which is sent to the individual institutions in November of each year. It contains data on candidate performance for all students on all tests in a given academic year in which 10 or more BGSU candidates participated in that academic year.

Outgoing Data / Summary and Distribution: Upon receipt of the Institution Summary Report from ETS, current year pass rates are calculated from the score distributions in each Praxis II test. That data is added to the worksheets that contain the previous year’s data and new graphs and tables are generated. Analysis is conducted and new summary sheets are generated to highlight trends and comparisons among programs and years. The resulting Praxis II All Examinees Report is then distributed as appropriate at each administrative level.

  • Program data to each program coordinator (thus to program faculty)
  • All programs within a school/department to the school director/department chair wherein the program(s) resides
  • All programs within a college to the dean and associate deans of the college wherein the program(s) reside
  • A complete report on all programs to the NCATE unit head

Dependent upon receipt of the incoming data, the Praxis II All Examinees Report is usually distributed in early December of each year.

 Praxis II Program Completers Report

Incoming Data / Retrieval and Archiving: BGSU provides ETS with the program completer listing in November of each year. ETS runs the matches and calculates the institutional and state pass rates over the next two months. Although distribution dates can vary significantly, ETS usually sends the   Single-Assessment Institution Level Pass-Rate Data: Regular Teacher Preparation Program Report to individual institutions in February of each year.

Outgoing Data / Summary and Distribution: Upon receipt of the Single-Assessment Institution Level Pass-Rate Data: Regular Teacher Preparation Program Report from ETS, the rolling five academic years time period is adjusted by including the data from the most recent academic year and deleting the data from the oldest academic year. New graphs and are generated and the resulting Praxis II Program Completers Report is then distributed as appropriate at each administrative level.

Dependent upon receipt of the incoming data, the Praxis II All Program Completers Report is usually distributed in March of each year.

 Praxis III Report

Incoming Data / Retrieval and Archiving: After the end of the academic year (08/31), The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) aggregates the Praxis III data it receives from ETS and includes the additional fields. This data is then disaggregated by the institution where the candidate received their relevant training and the electronic files are sent to each of those educational institutions. This usually occurs in mid-September of each year.

EDHD Outgoing Data / Summary and Distribution: Upon receipt of the electronic file from ODE, the individual candidates listed in the file are reviewed to ascertain they did receive their relevant training at BGSU and to identify the program they were enrolled in at BGSU. The Praxis III scores (overall and by Pathwise domain) are calculated by BGSU program. Program rankings are calculated and the report component sheets are generated. The resulting Praxis III is then distributed as appropriate at each administrative level.

Dependent upon receipt of the incoming data, the Praxis III Report is usually distributed in early October of each year.

 TQP Survey Report

Incoming Data / Retrieval and Archiving: The completed surveys are sent to TQP at the end of each semester. TQP generates their summary report for the academic year and sends it to BGSU in December of each year.

EDHD Outgoing Data / Summary and Distribution: Once the TQP summary report is received, it is broken out by licensure area to provide program specific data and the component data sections are created in the above mentioned format. The resulting TQP Survey Report is then distributed as appropriate at each administrative level.

The TQP Survey Report is distributed in May of each year prior to the end of the academic year.

 Final Evaluation of Student Teaching/Internship

Incoming Data / Retrieval and Archiving: The Final Evaluation of Student Teaching/Internship for individual candidates is written collaboratively by the cooperating teacher and university supervisor who mentor the candidate during what is usually the final practicum semester of the candidate’s program. At the close of each semester, the evaluation data are entered by the university supervisor into an electronic database when the form is “submitted”. A paper version is printed at the time of submission, subsequently signed by all three parties (candidate, cooperating teacher, supervisor), copies made as desired and one copy deposited in the student’s official campus file (archived upon graduation).

Outgoing Data / Summary and Distribution: Data are aggregated for an entire academic year (fall, spring, summer), analyzed and results disseminated in an annual report usually during early fall. Analysis is conducted by program, school/department, college and unit-wide with resulting reports distributed as appropriate at each administrative level:

  • Program data to each program coordinator (thus to program faculty)
  • All programs within a school/department to the school director/department chair wherein the program(s) reside
  • All programs within a college to the dean and associate deans of the college wherein the program(s) reside
  • A complete report on all programs to the NCATE unit head

 EDHD Survey of Graduates Report

Incoming Data / Retrieval and Archiving: The Survey of Graduates is administered twice during each academic year. Graduates of the fall semester are surveyed in September of the following year and graduates of the spring and summer semesters are surveyed in January of the year following graduation. As completed surveys are returned responses are entered into a database that includes student demographic data.

EDHD Outgoing Data / Summary and Distribution: In adherence with the timetable constructed for the EDHD Graduation Survey, survey responses are tabulated and analyzed in April for all graduates of the previous academic year. The resulting EDHD Graduation Survey Report is then distributed at each administrative level as follows.

  • Program data to each program coordinator (thus to program faculty)
  • All programs within a school/department to the school director/department chair wherein the program(s) resides
  • All programs within a college to the dean and associate deans of the college wherein the program(s) reside
