Dr. Martha Gesling Weber, a nationally recognized authority on reading, was the founder and director of the Reading Center from 1946-1965. Through service and dedication, Dr. Weber made great contributions to the Reading Center.
The Martha Gesling Weber Reading Center is located on the 5th floor of the Education Building at Bowling Green State University. The Center houses various outreach programs, individual literacy assessments, intervention programs, and other literacy activities.
The Reading Center provides graduate assistantships to students enrolled in the graduate reading/teacher education program. The Center also supports other graduate programs in the College of Education and Human Development and other BGSU education-related programs.
