Objective:
To recognize and explain errors in addition and subtraction problems

Materials Required:
Worksheet Addition or Subtraction with Regrouping Pencil

Description of the Activity:
Teacher distributes the appropriate worksheet. Students are instructed to circle the incorrect answers. Next the student explains in writing why these answers are incorrect. Also included in their writing should be an explanation of how to answer them correctly.

Management Tips:
Student may need to explain orally how to solve the problems. Writing about mathematics prior to the assessment will prepare students for this assessment.
