Objective Being Assessed and/or Purpose for the Assessment:
The students will use journals to show the level of understanding of problem solving and retrieving the correct information from a story problem.
Materials Required:
Worksheet and student Journal folder
Description of the Activity:
After spending adequate instruction time for the understanding of problem
solving, have the students finish the journal page (see attached). When scoring the page, use the rubric below. The students should be aware of the
scoring rubric before doing the page. Give them plenty of time to complete
the entry. If necessary, they may take it home to finish.
