How much does it cost?
For Fall 2009, instructional and general fees for courses taken on campus or via web-based/distance learning total approximately $373 per credit hour. For this 34-credit program, that equals approximately $12,682 for instructional and general fees.
Starting with Summer 2009, a discount has been applied to cohort fees for this program, rather than a fee waiver. The regular rate is $477 per credit hour. With the discounted rate of $373 per credit hour, these are savings of $104 per semester hour, or $312 per 3-credit course.
Other fees currently include an $8 registration fee per semester, a one-time $30 application fee, and an $80 matriculation fee. Late payment fees, on-campus parking, and other fees may also be charged on an individual basis. See the bursar's page for late and past due balance fees.
Is there any financial assistance available?
If you wish to look into other financial aid, such as federal loans or an alternative loan, you should contact the Financial Aid office. However, rather than calling the general number, please contact Allison Goedde first for a Financial Aid Office contact. Please be aware that 3-credits is not usually considered half-time. EDTL 6390 is a 1-hour course, which can be registered for multiple times. If you need 4 hours of coursework to receive financial aid, consider taking EDTL 6390.
For full-time students, graduate assistantships are available. If you are interested, apply by January using the online application from the Graduate College.
What about payment plans?
Installment payment plans to spread the cost of fees over several months are available in Fall and Spring semesters. Click here to see the Bursar's page for a few more details or call 419.372.2815 for information.
For payment plan fees, see this bursar's page.
There is a Short Term (STEP) loan in summer that allows you to pay 1/3, with the remainder due within 45 days, and a possible 30 day extension for good credit/payment history. Call the bursar's office for more information about that also.
Fees for these plans are listed at the bursar's office page here.
