Master of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision

The Principalship Cohort Leadership Academy, offered by the Department of Educational Administration and Supervision, is a two-year, cohort-based graduate program designed for educators interested in pursuing a career in school administration. Take one evening course each academic semester and three courses during the summer term. Courses are offered on-site in fall and spring and at BGSU in summer. At the end of the program, students receive a master's degree in education; with four additional classes they can apply for licensure as a building principal or administrative assistant.

Superintendency Cohort Leadership Academy

This on-site program is a continuation of the Principalship Cohort Leadership Academy. It offers 18 credit hours in addition to the 45 hours required for the principal licensure and can fulfill the credit requirements for administrative assistant and superintendent licenses.

Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching

Through this strand of the Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching, individuals with a teaching certificate engage in course work and experiences designed to refine their abilities as early childhood through secondary school classroom teachers and to develop and expand their leadership abilities to improve teaching and learning at classroom, building and district levels. Candidates must complete a minimum of 33 semester hours of graduate course work and experiences distributed over five areas, and have three options for completion of the degree.

Master of Education in Classroom Technology

Develop specific technical skills and earn the Ohio computer/technology endorsement on an existing, valid Ohio teaching certificate or license by completing the Master of Education in Classroom Technology program. The focus of the program, offered by the Division of Teaching & Learning, is the integration of technology, from a curriculum and instruction perspective, into the school setting. The program, designed for the working professional, is available in the part-time format only and is completed in 24-26 months. Students take the courses in a prescribed sequence with the cohort group with which they are admitted in the spring or fall.
