James S. Brown

Hometown: Oregon, Ohio on the banks of the muddy-brown waters of Lake Erie.

What I do: Program Coordinator, IDEI. I assist the Institute faculty with the planning and implementation of all grant activities, monitoring of Institute expenses, and conducting new research in the field of civic education. I currently monitor all activities with the Civic Education Partnership Initiative and work closely with all our partners overseas.

About Me: I graduated from BGSU in 2005 with a B.S. in Integrated Language Arts (High School English) and in 2006 with a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. I was also in the Bowling Green Marching Band drum line for four years and have been in a rock band since my freshman year of high school.  Apart from drumming, I enjoy reading, tennis, basketball, and my many failed attempts at becoming a proficient cook.

Favorite thing about the office: The desk, the easy button, the bell, the black chairs, the blue walls, the clocks, the fan, the music, and of course my co-workers.
