A Civics Mosaic is a new region-to-region initiative of Civitas@Russia funded
by a $4.7 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education to the Council
for Citizenship Education of Russell Sage College. Like Civitas@Russia, Civics
Mosaic is an international exchange program that links American and Russian
partners in civic education.

This program works in part with Dr. Alexander
Sidorkin, a faculty member of Bowling Green State University. The program,
Civics Mosaic, exchanges faculty and educators. The exchanges consist of
curriculum
sharing,
active
teaching methods, school and university visits and exploring local
cultures within the communities. Visiting educators have the opportunity
to share with local classrooms about common customs and cultural beliefs
that are practiced in their native country. Project
